Games that I have in bold are the top games in my opinion. Specifically, the GC/Lebanon and St. Paul/Casltewood games both could determine early favorites in each district. The loser of the Appy/JJK game is in a world of hurt in terms of trying to catch PV for the regular season crown in the LPD assuming PV wins at Pound.

GC @ JIB could be very ugly.

Appy @ Kelly could turn out to be a good game. Last year, Kelly upset Appalachia when Forrest Stuart got into foul trouble early in the game.

St. Paul / Castlewood is always a big rivalry game in the Cumberland.

Gate City @ Lebanon will be the game of the week. Lebanon has been been picked by some to win the CMD this year, but you can never count out Gate City. Either team could be competing in the Region D Div II championship game.

Sure the JIB/GC is on Monday? GCHS schedule says the 27th at JIB and 2/9 JIB at GC. I can't see Coach V traveling to Burton Mon and then to Leb the next night for a BIG CMD clash.

I'm not, was just going by what was in the Coalfield.

The Gate City-Lebanon game is an important one in the CMD. If Lebanon loses, they they have pretty much lost all hope of claiming the CMD regular season title, or at least in claiming it outright. They could not afford to lose another district game, and would have to rely on Battle and Lee to beat VHS and Gate City.

If GC does beat Lebanon, and then VHS beats GC, VHS will be in the driver's seat for the CMD regular season championship.
