Can't remember which thread it was that we were talking about cable, satellite, etc. but DirecTV just got a few more HD channels including ESPNU which finally happened. Also 30 more to roll out by July. They are also doing some 3D stuff but of course you gotta have a 3D TV for that.

Does Dish offer this yet? Wasn't for sure if it was just DirecTV or if they are showing it also.

Also, for those who have Comcast, how many HD channels do they have now. I know last year it was around 10 or so but wasn't for sure if they had added any recently.

Travel Channel in HD too. That was an upgrade I had been waiting on.

I love my DirecTV. Of course I loved it better before the one year discounted price ran out, but it still beats the crap out of Comcast IMO.

Got about 50 or 60 HD channels on Comcast.

Yeah I guess I should have said I live right outside Knoxville. But yeah most of the regular channels have HD channels. Sports, movies, local channels. But I'm not sure about SW VA area. When I was in Clintwood we were using DirecTV so.

Well IN SWVA Comcast added the on demand so most of the shows you can watch in HD through on demand, if you have a movie channel after the movie air you can catch in HD through that.
I hope to be a DIrectv member soon, I've applied for the work at home and if the hours are enough I may take it and leave Sykes, after 30 days employment we get basic Directv service free and caost for all extras runs about $60 a month.

Please post if at any point you sell a platinum package working for Direct TV. The price on that bad boy is insane.
