I'm not sure what you disagree with. They're good players and C-wood got them, but it's not like it will make them that much better or they're game-changing player like a Miles from Burton or top Clintwood play etc. They're above average players on a below average team, they stick out more than usual(not saying they're bad), but it's not going to change too much. Heard a lot of complaints coming from C-wood as of today, they school is pretty crowded now, I think that will add to more kids coming over to Eastside - esp. when the new schools are up and thriving.

I'm disagreeing as to how much impact they will have on Castelwoods success. I think an all district QB with good quickness who put up some really big numbers last year and an all southwest Va. DB who is also a very good receiver, along with several other solid players will make a significant difference in their season and how they will finish in the CD.

The new cutoff # for D2 is 450 so no matter how many kids they get from Ervinton, they'll still be D1.

I would take #7 and #15 on Castlewood's team in a heartbeat, they would start day 1 at JIB, good athletes.

I thought Haysi and Council was being added to the school also, I must have misunderstood the consolidation over there.

As to who I am Stainless, You can't honestly say you think by adding the scrappy bunch from pound to the scrappy bunch from Kelly together taking on a TOUGHER Schedule you honestly expect to win more than 6 out of district games and none inside it. Sounds like Illusions of grandeur to me.

Kelly was pretty bad last year They did win 7 games 5 of which if im not mistaken was out of District. Im not sure who you beat, but I know how bad you were, and they must have been cup cake games like kelly had become apt to playing. Wasn't the only district games they won vs Appy and Pound? Well those teams are no more. Did pound win a District game last year? You add the bottom of the barrel together, and all you get is a smaller barrel. You guys will still be in the bottom of it.

Im sure you will have plenty of time to brag on these forums when Baseball rolls around (yawn). Adding Pound Kids to your roster Won't help you much, because the ones worth a crap from this year on will probably start filtering into Clintwood.

I know in kids a year makes a differnece, but Its going to take lots of time for Central to be more than Kelly and Pound threw together.

UGH.....No Ervinton, Clintwood and Haysi will be moving into a new consolidated school in 2013(?) The rumer is that Ervinton MAY shut down next year 2012 and have its students split between Haysi and Clintwood......Councel is in Bucahanon county and will not be involved

#15 played at Castlewood last year. #7 is Edmonds who could play WR for anyone in the area.
