    FCA VA/TN All-Star game

The FCA VA/TN All-Star football game is set to kickoff today at Science Hill's Kermit-Tipton Stadium in Johnson City, a 1 p.m. start. Heritage TV (Digital channel 266 in Lee, Wise, and Dickenson) is showing the game live. WJHL TV will have a replay broadcast (like the one last year) at 6.

Tenn wins 30-22. I heard Austin Johnson scored every point for the VA squad.

I know UT didn't make a bowl game, but why was he playing for VA?

Shame, Va actually outplayed them pretty soundly. Passing game killed our kids. Three for fifteen with two long pick six scores for Tn. Tn had like 125 more yards in INT returns than Va. had passing. That was the one and only difference. Every other aspect that I saw Va. was better. Granted I didn't see the entire game.

Not picking on the main QB (who I think was also from Richlands but I had to wonder how it would have turned out with say Hileman Castlewood under center (but he's busy on the basketball team).

I'll add that several of the LPD kids looked real good, one that I noticed a couple of times was Orr of Union opening holes for some of Johnson's big yardage.

Wont see much unless it was he live feed, the tape delay was bad after being there. Kinda gotta critque this game think they need to modify the format a little more like the VHSCA games ie: no blitzing, both teams play same D except inside 10, I cant remember but have to chack but hd to play a certain type of offense, also how do they pick coaches for this.

    Re: FCA VA/TN All-Star game

From what I seen on the game (I watched the 6 pm airing) Is that VA seemed to not be in sync with each other as good as they should have been. Alot of missed snaps, fumbles, bad passes and so forth that is nothing but lack of practice with each other. Anyone on here that has ever palyed the game before knows that you have to mesh together to do good. You can take the best athelets in the world and put them together and without solid practice time to learn each other it can turn ugly fast. But all in all I felt good about the individual play of the SWVA kids, I just wished they could have pulled out a win in this game.
