I'll try to update this as we move on through the end of the regular season, playoff games, and district tournaments.
As of now:
1) Gate City (holds tiebreaker over everybody)
2) Union (If they beat JIB in playoff game, if not it's a mess)
3) Honaker (Due to a 2-3 record vs. common opponents with Lebanon who is 2-4)
4) Lebanon (see above)
5: Virginia High
6: Central
7: John Battle (Assuming they beat Lee tomorrow)
8: Eastside
9: Grundy
10: Lee
To be honest once it gets by the 6 seed, it's a mess. They all have the same amount of points, Lee has beaten none of those teams 7-10 and Grundy hasn't played any of them.
This is BY FAR THE DUMBEST THING EVER INVENTED IN HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS. Any system that allows a team that is 11-9 to be seeded lower than a 5-17 team that the 11-9 team swept is asinine and needs to be thrown in the garbage.

1. 1st place = 16 pts
2. 2nd place = 12 pts
3. 3rd place = 9 pts
4. 4th ? 7th place = 4 pts
B. District Tournament
1. 1st place = 12 pts
2. 2nd place = 11 pts
3. 3rd place = 10 pts
4. 4th place = 6 pts
5. 5th ? 7th place = 3 pts
Automatic Berths
A. Regular Season Champion
B. District Tournament Champion
C. If Regular Season and District Tournament Champion are the same, then the Runner-up of the District Tournament would get the automatic berth.
Regular Season Guidelines
A. If you tie for 1st place in regular season standings- Playoff game with the winner receiving 16 points and the loser receiving 12 points.
B. If you tie for any other place in the regular season standings (each district has guidelines to follow to break tie) you take the total number of points and divide by the total number of teams that are tied. Example: If you have a tie for 3rd and 4th (Total Points = 13 Divided by 2 = 6.5 points.
C. The last place team regular season standings has to finish in the top 3 of District Tournament to meet minimum requirements to advance to Regional Tournament.

A. Head to Head.
B. Winning percentage vs. common opponents.
C. Winning percentage in games vs. all Region D Tournament qualifiers
D. Regular Season District winning percentage.
E. Overall winning percentage (all games)
Note: If tied for 8th place after tiebreakers 1-5 are used, a PLAY-IN game will be played on Monday with the Selection Committee deciding the site.

Can you post all the region d's districts standings?
Can you give us the girls region standings in D2?
2011-2012 Region D Girls basketball schedules
I bumped them both back up to the first page.
Sorry about that.
Just came up with this pretty quick, someone will correct it if anything's off I'm sure...
Girls Div. 2
1. Central 16
Grundy 16
Gate City 16 or 12
Virginia High 16 or 12
Eastside 16 or 12
Lebanon or Lee High 9
Honaker 9
Lebanon or Lee High 4
Union 4
John Battle 4
*Central with tiebreaker over all. Va High and Eastside with tiebreaker over Grundy, but I think Grundy would have it over GC. VHS with tiebreaker over Eastside. Eastside tiebreaker over GC. Lebanon and Lee hold tiebreakers over Honaker. Union over Battle.
**Lebanon and Lee High play for the #3 seed in the CMD, Monday, at Castlewood (6 p.m.). Gate City and Virginia High play for the 1st seed following the Lee/Lebanon game also at Castlewood. Eastside and Castlwood play for the Cumberland 1st seed at Twin Springs on Monday also.
