the quickest way to lose weight is to have a good diet and do about 5 intense cardio sessions 8-12 hours before or after you lift...lifting weights will not really help you lose weight

lifting may not help "lose weight", but i've always heard/thought muscle mass helps burn fat.
intense cardio and lifting or resistance training will definitely help.

quitting the drug known as pop will drop some of it off quick...just drink water big man
for snacks, do like i do, go for fruits and tuna (yeah, tuna is my breakfast every day)
and what you would normally eat at dinner or any other meal, start reducing the sizes of them
and of course, exercise
