i'd say dr. basham initiated this action. after receiving death threats last thursday he traveled to richmond on friday to meet with his attorneys. when he rescinded his recommendation to consolidate, i'd say he had his mind made that it wasn't worth the hassle. why would he have his attorney with him at the meeting otherwise?
You could be right. It could have been that he expected what happened and had his attorney present to help negotiate a "graceful" exit, if you will. I don't blame him for that, especially the way things were. Or perhaps some School Board members contacted him after his public release of "The Plan" and told him that it might happen. I don't know.
Unless someone has something factual or concrete to add that could shed some real light on the situation or if there really was more to it, then we should try to concentrate on what happens from here on out and not so much on why he's gone IMO.
......and I thought truth was universal. Silly me......
