Tenacious D Pick of Destiny---Liked it, was funny. I thought the earlier stuff was funnier than the later stuff. Entertaining for the most part. 6/10
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Double feature of Reno 911 Miami and Wild Hogs

Reno - Had some funny scenes but I only laughed out loud once . Looks to have been hastily put together . I was disappointed .

Wild Hogs - Not the funniest comedy but it had it's moments . Travolta was ok , M. Lawrence was ok , Tim Allen was ok William H. Macy stole the show . He was really the only sparkle in this movie .
Life is a grindstone . Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up , depends on what we are made of .

The Number 23... I was really really impressed with this flick. I liked it a lot, very enjoyable. Kept me guessing. Jim Carrey was excellent. 9/10

The Departed - A good film, but not an Oscar-winning film. Kind of like Donnie Brasco meets Catch Me If You Can.

And how in the world did Wahlberg get a Best Supporting Actor nod for his role? That was acting???

Snakes on a Plane - Sam Jackson made it worth watching.

Borat - Somewhat funny, somewhat stupid. The nude wrestling scene might have been the most humorous part.

Fast Food Nation - kinda shows what goes on behind the scenes in the fast food industry, but other than that it... it sucks...

I'm probably going to be in the minority on this one but I didn't think it held up to the hype . I didn't particularly care for the cinematography (too dark and grainy) . Very little color in this movie . The crimson cloaks or capes were about it . Even the blood was black . Some decent slo mo scenes and a couple of witty one liners by the hero but overall did not grab me and hold throughout the 2 hrs .
Life is a grindstone . Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up , depends on what we are made of .

I agree with suntzu... It was okay. I really enjoy history and thought this would be a good movie, but it seems like they were too concerned with special effects. Some parts were stupid. It's a great story and it had potential, but i don't think it lived up to the hype either. I didn't like the darkness of the movie either- i would have liked more color.

    Re: Last movie you watched

It was meant to be shot dark like that. Thats what makes the movie.
