No argument that there needs to be more time, but they never will. Mainly for the reasons I said, that and your normal amount of attorney's have at least worked with the particular police or departments and try their best to help 'clean up' without things getting dragged on for years and showing up regularly (appeals, etc).

Besides, I'm also of the mind that the attorneys (or most) would work with the police, just in case something unforseen ever happened with them, hopeful that the favor could be returned.
