I wouldn't have 2 different types/ages on the same end (front/back). Replace both back tires at the same time.
have a question about tires. i have 2 douglas tires on the front of my blazer. i have a 1 goodyear wrangler tire on the back and and firestone tire on the back if i was to buy another brand to go on the back to replace the firestone would that hurt my vehicles performance any as long as it was the same size tire

You'll shoot your eye out.

It won't hurt anything as long as you keep them the same size. On a 4x4 if you run different sizes anywhere you will do damage. The only thing you are gonna do is have a terrible ride because of the different brands, but it won't be any worse than what you have with a Firestone and a Wrangler tire on it now, those two have terrible rides.

the firestone i have had since i got the blazer from my mother about 2-3 years ago i bought the wrangler tire a few months ago now they are sold out at walmart of it, so i was wondering if i could buy another tire the same size diff brand and it be ok
Yes same size is fine. You will just be able to tell a difference in the ride between the two different brands especially cornering one will have more sidewall flex than the other.

I always thought it was "tars".
"Tars" is my father's nickname for the Speed Network or whatever you call the channel that's all racing all the time.
"Sweetie, turn it back to 'Tars,' could you?"
