    Re: Pro-life, or Pro-Choice?

Let me add this to the debate, I had a good friend a couple years back who had a few too many drinks, and passed out. To this day she suspects that she was taken advantage of, and was afraid she was pregnant after it happened. Palin has boldy claimed that even if her teenage daughter was raped, she would not support an abortion. Would anyone support abortion in cases of rape?

No need to discuss it...Both parties love to talk about, get votes with it....Neither do a thing about it...

    Re: Pro-life, or Pro-Choice?

I see grey area in the subject that makes it more complicated.
Yes it kills a fetus in any situation.

But I have to wonder about special circumstances - usually involving the mentally/physically impaired and children.
What if a 10 year old is raped and impregnated - would it be in that child's best interest to carry a baby to term (10 year olds and younger do go through puberty).

What if an infant is diagnosed with a fatal disorder that causes great pain and suffering before certain death? There are quite a few disorders/genetic abnormalities that do that.

If an able bodied adult is capable of carrying a baby to term after a rape, then that would be a tough decision for her to make - there are lots of people out there looking to adopt. But how many women can handle seeing the product of her rape growing for 9 months. I have no idea how I'd handle it. Not being in that situation I think I'd deliver and adopt out.
    You'll shoot your eye out.

The way I see it, it should be a personal decision. I have no reason to tell anybody else how to handle their life
