It's really meant for the big cities, they turn their lights off and I believe take the satellite shot of the lights all over the world, it's symbolic really. I don't expect many in the area to give a **** about anything like that, but it really doesn't matter much for anyone that isn't part of a bigger city.
If it was more publicized around here I'm sure more people would do it as a way of protesting against the recent power company increases.
I didn't expect many around here to do it. I just came across something about it and thought I'd ask.
Me? I guess you could say I'm unintentionally participating. Only thing on in our house is the tv and pc. LoL
