Too me Revolver was ok but nothing to write home about. My favorite Western game so far is GUN. I love free roaming games like that and Redemption looks to be a great one. Just one week away!

I've heard folks referring to it as "Grand Theft Horse."

Pretty much is. The same people (Rockstar) that make the GTAs made this game also. You can go with the game missions or just go do your own thing like robbing trains, banks, or just anyone. There are numerous missions and some are not story related. It is a lot like GUN but with the GTA feel. For anyone that likes Westerns this game will be a huge hit. You can also hunt different animals, skin them, and sell their hides and meat to make money. The game takes place in the year 1911.
