Re: Why
Well, folks, ya know how rumors are, and they just keep flying. Latest rumor going around is that according to the website www.vsb.org(I have not looked this up)five members must be present to establish a quorom for them to have a legal meeting. Like I say, I have not looked this up as of yet, but if that is true, then I think they just had an illegal meeting all the way around including the appointment of Greear.

Re: Why
Couldn't find anything in that site, be happy if someone could find it for me. I think it would have to be a majority, hence 5 of 8, but since there were 7 members, 4 was a majority and sounds legit. I would think they would have known the rules beforehand and wouldn't do something so blatantly against the rules, don't really care anyway since the three stooges wanted to pout and not show up.

Re: Why
Find myself agreeing with R13 on this one. The next meeting should be really interesting.

Re: Why
Me? I really don't care one way or the other anymore. Thoe county government and the school board have made the county the laughing-stock of the whole state over all the partisan politics that is happening. I hate to say it, but I also am inclined to agree with the boy on this, too. But apparently someone involved either is trying to cover their bases or is really unsure about the whole thing. Either way, if Cuccinelli rules against the meeting, then, it will get really interesting. If that happens, then will the same three still boycott the meetings to keep from having a quorom? If that happens, then what recourse would the people have?
