I figure I will enlighten yall on some great songs now.
Ima start doing a song of the day.
Since today is the beginning, ill give ya two songs for today.
These songs come from opposite ends of the spectrum.
Both are about home, the feelings that resonate with being home. No one will ever confuse these two songs, but both reflect artistic mastery.

The Allman Bros. Band's original version is wonderful... but I really, really, really love this version. Brad Arnold and Chris Daughtry really hit this song with their vocals...

It looks like I'm going to have to take over this thread to keep it alive. I've been on a Van Halen kick the last few days. Especially the song below. It's amazing how good the first 2 Van Halen albums were. The first one is one of the 2-3 best debut albums EVER. Look at the list of songs from the first 2 albums and notice how many of those songs are total rock station staples and just classic songs and that's from a band that never had been in the studio before.
Van Halen 1 - Runnin' With The Devil, Eruption, You Really Got Me, Aint Talkin' Bout Love, I'm The One, Janie's Cryin', Atomic Punk, Feel Your Love Tonight, Little Dreamer, Ice Cream Man, and On Fire. The only song on there that aren't in heavy rotation on a station like WQUT is On Fire.
Van Halen 2 - You're No Good, Dance The Night Away, Somebody Get Me A Doctor, Bottom's Up, Outta Love Again, Light Up The Sky, Spanish Fly, D.O.A., Women In Love, and Beautiful Girls. The only thing on here that isn't in a steady rock station rotation would be Light Up The Sky, Women In Love, and Spanish Fly (only because it's an instrumental. It's a beautiful piece of music).
My favorite song from those two albums though is D.O.A. From the opening wicked licks from Eddie paired with the pounding drum beat of Alex that are matched in perfect time with Michael Anthony. It seems like every 10-15 seconds Eddie's breaking into another solo. The end is just as awesome when they all speed up to a breakneck pace to just have it fade out. I've never been the biggest DLR fan but he gets the job done. I've probably listened to this song 15 times in the last 2 days and it keeps getting better. If at least 1 of you *******s isn't impressed I'm going to be seriously disappointed.
