    BOS meeting...

wonder what plan did those two come up with as a "compromise"? Guess we'll find out tonight.

Basically the same plan from what I heard. Keep all six open with a couple little tweeks like trying to get Norton to join in the plans. I just wish they would finally shut up and give the money to build 2-3 new schools on different sites. This is just getting ridiculus.

Well, as many times as I have said I am glad to be in Scott County instead of Wise, Scott is about to have its own issues I am afraid.

I have heard some nasty rumors about Scott County. What the hell is going on there?

It should be known soon. The School Board meeting was last night I do believe. Its just a mess(embarassment), not a consolidation type deal.

    Re: BOS meeting...

No, it's just how he's delivering the plan, speaking in terms as if "this is what would happen" manner. I don't think he believes for a second Norton would want any part of this.

I don't know how this would work using the QSCB funds? Just the notion alone of eliminating the contract of with company would not be possible from what I have read about these bonds(thanks to VHSL's thread) specifically states that there must be a binding contract with a third party contractor to spend 10% of the funds in 6 months and 100% in 3 years...that's a major rule/guideline with these funds, how can you cancel the contract after you get the funds and still spend it if that was a strict stipulation? I may have just misunderstood something big time, but that seems like a blatant problem with this.

Kilgore just said it's not even something they could vote on, so all for nothing? Sounds about right when Rivers is involved.
