Warning including Scott now (Wise and Scott) going until 10:30.

Severe thunderstorm warning up for Lee now. Going until 11:30 now for Lee, Scott, and a part of Wise.

Power lines and poles being reported downed county-wide in Buchanan, D ickenson, and Russell Counties. Trees also reported downed from storms in Wise and Scott Counties.
Storm Prediction Center Today's Storm Reports
First batch of storms exiting area and warnings being dropped.
Urban and small stream flood advisories going until 2 a.m. for the area.

Another round rolling through this morning with warnings ongoing for several. Flood advisories were extended also. Wouldn't be surprised to flash flooding if more of these pick up.
Probably will be the common theme the next several days with rounds of storms coming through.

I'm not sure if I have ever seen that much lightning before. It just seemed to go on and on. Nice light display though! Our electricity was only out for an hour.

I heard the term Bow Echo for the first time last night in the news. Not 100% sure what it is but sounded cool as hell.

Its when a line or complex of storms surges forward forming a bow shape. Usually a sign of some strong damaging winds likely with it. And for another one, if a squall line or a bow echo turns into a bigger long-lived event they call it a derecho.
