Had some lightning and pea sized hail move through about 30-40 minutes ago with some very dark clouds. Today has seemed like March or April weather.
Line of storms moving through parts of the area right now, currently affecting Lee County and eventually may affect parts of Wise and Scott and such. Some of these may be on the strong side with hail and strong winds. Winter weather advisories up for the region from Thursday evening through Friday morning as some light accumulations are possible. May see some icy road conditions develop quickly over Thursday night/Friday morning as temps may drop rapidly.

Some things I have seen says starting Friday it could get bad bad.

Chris Bailey of Kentucky weather center just tweeted: "Looks like the arctic front arrives a little quicker tomorrow. This bad boy has a squall line of snow with it across the plains right now"
and
"New GFS is impressive tomorrow afternoon and evening. A ton of lift & a lot of precipitation. If correct... Snow totals may be higher."

Seems he's still keeping his forecasted totals about the same though for now. I'd say biggest concerns are probably going to be the winds and the possibility of a rapid freeze over if roads tonight if the temps fall very quick. That initial band if snow may have a heavy, quick hitting shot with it. I hope people decide to drive carefully this time around and we not see another minor event cause so many problems yet again....but I doubt it.
