Heard a pretty unsettling rumor in Food City today that a mother of one of the girls on PV's basketball team asaulted a ref afte the game. I don't go to basketball games as I am not interested in that sport. But, if this is true, then what have we all become? It is a game and that's all. Even though one may think that "little Mary" is good, that does not give one a reson to go to such lengths.
with my last post on the board, ill say this............ if this happened in wise you would NEVER hear the end of it. there would be folks from appy/BSG going ape shit over this one. but all we hear about it is silence.

I'll have to agree with Biggin on this one. People LOVE jumping on any high school in this county.
Really doesn't matter what school it is, but I find the fact that it happened here, in this area at all, unsettling. We, as a county have long "prided" ourselves with "razzing" the officials but never getting physical. There is just no excuse for this action. If it is true, and from what I have heard it is, then the woman should be banned from any and all competitive events or extra curricular activities that have anything to do with the school system.
Yeah, the officials are paid, but no matter how horrible a call, or non-call it is, they do not deserve to be physically attacked. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior. Let them know how ya feel about things, them getting paid should allow for that, but physical contact should never be condoned.
