Re: When did everyone become pansies?
actually, what I think the article in the coalfield said (to make long story short) was that the first game was moved to UVa-Wise because of the weather. after doing all the money calculations of time and supplies to line the field and other stuff it was cheaper to rent the UVa-Wise field and the kids loved playing up there so the decision was made to keep playing there. I'm not saying anything because JIB likes playing there in the playoffs and should it they are able too.
Re: When did everyone become pansies?
But I thought the high school kids all hated playing at UVAW. :)
Re: When did everyone become pansies?
whatever gave you that feeling???? lol.
Re: When did everyone become pansies?

lol, maybe it mostly came from one fanbase that always raised utter hell about playing at UVAW??
Every HS kid I have ever talked to loves playing at UVAW, especially this year with the new surface. Its really a great experience for the kids and I hate that one fanbase had such a problem with it.
CW seemed to like it, JIB LOVES it haha, WC seems to like it, from what I understand the UHS kids loved it, etc...
Re: When did everyone become pansies?
I usually got to the finals games early and had seen the GC kids go on the field before. I mentioned it to Jason and GC1 and never got a responce back on here but (I think it was two years ago) I was on the fence when the GC kids took the field. I heard more than 1 kid say how awesome, cool, wild it was and they looked thrilled.
Re: When did everyone become pansies?
If I was GC, or RC I was the higher seed, I wouldnt have wanted to play there either. It would be dumb to when they earned the right to control where they played.
Re: When did everyone become pansies?
I think very few "wanted" to. It's just that it wasn't anything to throw a hissy fit over. I'm sure Clintwood prefered to play at Clintwood, yet there was never any whining or crying.
Re: When did everyone become pansies?
I just never understood why schools agreed to it. If you annually have a terrible football team or no football program at all I understand it since it doesnt affect you. If you have been a 1 seed in the last decade, and you prefer to play at home, theres no reason at all to go along with it.
