The new Democratic controlled Congress

Is it a good sign or a bad sign that they are having disagreements on their leadership?
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Probably a good sign. I would like to see more indapendent thinkers repesenting us and not just be a rubber stamp for the partys leader

I am inclined to agree, although it may blow up on them. Hopefully they can find a working relationship and accomplish something, if not, believe it or not, I'll be more than happy to question them

Washington needs a few more open-minded less stagnant traditionalists IMO. I agree as well

I don't look for much change, they will still be just a rubber stamp and the big money will still run things as they allways have.

Re: The new Democratic controlled Congress

Thats possible, no doubt big money will still control. (Ever wonder how these guys take jobs that pay them what, 100,000 or something and then their earnings at the end of the year is almost always in the millions).

I don't look for it to be a rubber stamp if for no other reason its Democratic controlled with a Republican President. Why would they just rubber stamp everything for him?

Agreed here, I think that the Congress should go back to how it was when it was first started. The members held other jobs and only worked on Capitol Hill part of the year. That was the whole pupose of the recess.

True there, but I was more reffering to them being a rubber stamp for the big money.

I ment a rubber stamp for the Demo leadership i.e. The leader says vote for Mirtha and all the Dems do it becouse that is what the leadership wanted (That did not happen so it is possable that this group may try to stand up for what they belive in and not just what there party leadership wants)
