We all know I am for neither party in any election, as I feal it is unamerican to vote for just a party name....

But lets talk a bit about something way more important than the president, The House....It actually runs the country, and I'm thinking people need to quit with the election talks and take a look at what is goin on in there...

All the Dems breathed a little easier to know they had control of the house a couple years ago, Pelosi took her high chair as the speaker, and she made a statement: "The house would now be held to the highest of ethical standards".....ummmmmmm ok

Anyone heard though all the election BS what is going on with Charles Rangel rep???? Basically Charles Rangel, a man who writes federal tax laws as head of the House Ways and Means Committee, not only failed to pay taxes on income he received from a luxury resort property he owns, he financed the purchase with an interest-free loan from a campaign backer who is also a politically active lawyer. this is just what has been found in the last week or so....He is attempting out of this by saying his wife does the taxes, and under the innocent spouse law, she may be able to take the sole fall for him....WOW, the head tax law maker's can't do his own taxes, he lets his wife???? yea, right....

He already has another scandal in progress about 4 rent controlled apartments that any of us would already be in prison over....Why would he even need 1 rent controlled apartment???

Wheres Pelosi's clean house attitude??? And why isn't Obama winning over some fans by showing his so called "Non Partisaness" to call out the wrongs of Rangel?????

Dems just doing their part to continue to blow the easiest election in history....If this is how they plan to run the white house, how will it be better? They aren't even following the laws they are making....Impressive

That's not a good thing at all--Rangel needs to be taken to task if all of this is true--he ought to pay out the nose for back taxes and definitely lose some seniority privileges in the House, and possibly his seat.

However, as long as we're talking about not following laws they're making or something like it...go look up the scandals related to guys like Larry Craig, Richard Curtis, or Mark Foley, for starters. Moral compass of our country, I tell ya.

If Craig lost his seat (read: forced to resign it) due to his shenanigans, then Rangel has just as easy of a chance of losing his seat as well, or at least getting heavily reprimanded politically and financially. Let it play out--if all this is true and he doesn't pay, I'll be just as pissed as you are. I think one thing that we all can't stand is government corruption, no matter if it's by a Dem, Rep, or Ind.

The Craig thing, at least, was drawn out for 8 months--that I do know. Him losing his seat was up in the air for about 3 months before they finally decided to press him and have him "resign" his seat...and then they still allowed him to appeal to regain it, but then more evidence of sexual misconduct came out and he dropped it.

Lots of stuff gets overlooked on both sides of the aisle, and I'm equally upset about either one--but the Republican side of that aisle <u>runs for office</u> based off of being a "moral compass" against those evil, sinful liberals. The liberals don't claim to be morally great, but that's the Republican's creed--and there's been those 3 guys plus a lot more that have done stuff to fly directly in the face of that--homosexuality, drug abuse, infidelity, illegal tax/investment practices, sexual deviancy--all things that they tell you when they're campaigning with their pastor at their hometown church that is wrong according to The Bible and that they will uphold Christian values in office...

...and then you find out it was all a lie to get your vote so they could do what they really wanted to do all along--hold an office for prestige and personal gain.
