This is what is wrong with America. Everyone has been trained to believe that the govt will come in and rescue you from everything. As far as Katrina it was a terrible event and there was probably more that could have been done in the aftermath to help. But take responsibility for yourself and your family and dont expect help for everything. It was easy to blame FEMA and Bush but hell it was a category 4 hurricane and you live below sea level, what do you expect to happen? The same goes for Obama we shouldnt expect him to come to the rescue all the time either. [censored] happens. Im not directing this at anyone in particular im just making a point.

Who else is going to help them? They had everything taken away, it was the govt place to step in..thats what FEMA is for.

Thats exactly my point. The govt is not always gonna be there to take care of everything. FEMA is intended for disaster relief but like i said New Orleans is below sea level and they got hit by a category 4 hurricane, the govt cant miraculously cure everything. That is life and unfotunately those people had a terrible tragedy. But regardless we must do the best we can with what we have and not cry that its the govts fault. A lot was done for those in the gulf after Katrina, all the help in the world couldnt have averted the disaster tho.

WTF have i said about him since he won ??? I said i was giving him a chance until he screws up. But do you realize you are just as bad as these Obama bashers when the only thing you can ever come up with in any argument is something that has to do with Bush no matter what the subject is??? Nope, Im not because he hasnt even been elected and he's being bashed..Bush has been in the the past 8 years and have f'ed things up. Theres a difference than something you "think" he might do and what Bush has really done.

As much as i dislike bush it is important to remember he hasnt done anything that congress hasnt allowed him to do. And the democrats in congress havent done a damn thing useful in the last two years.
