Im surprised you say that. He carries votes of Dems and some Reps in VA. Who do you expect will be the Dem Senate hopeful?

He's not a good candidate, I mean he's a good guy and a good Senator, but as in candidate? I don't think he'd be winning in 2012, he awful fundraising and barely won when he took on Allen in 06' even with all that junk around Allen. But my guesses would be between Tom Perriello, Terry McCauliffe and Kaine - Kaine would take it easily IMO, the other two it could go either way. Only problem is getting Kaine to run, which isn't too likely, the others are more likely.

That would be a great choice IMO. With the "clout" he already posesses in Washington, he would fit really well and we(SWVA) would undoubtedly reap some benefits of him being a senator.

I almost always vote republican, but in Boucher's case, I would most definately vote democrat. Webb hasn't done anything for this part of the state sinces he ws elected.

Not impossible, but very unlikely IMO. He's either done or try for his old seat one more time, I don't see a Senate run. He wouldn't do bad, but he's just not well known in Northern VA and that's who decides these elections. I'd like to see it, he did serve in the State Senate before he took over the 9th, but I don't see him running or winning if he were to somehow win in the runoff.

Webb's a good Senator, he good guy which is why he doesn't fit in that well in politics. He was a war hero too, I know he's received the Navy Cross, has some purple hearts and silver stars too.

I wouldn't think Boucher would do it either, or win favor from the Dem party within the state level anyway. Especially if McAuliffe is running.

This popped up over the weekend, sure it doesn't mean much, but I wonder how seriously he's considering it?
