I've said it before, and I'll say it again--global warming is a misnomer, if anything is happening--it's climate change. Actually, the wife came up with a great term to describe what's happening the other day: atmospheric declimatization.
Global warming implies "the earth is getting hotter", which is relatively easy to bat down. Climate change, however, is definately occuring. I've seen articles from both sides that support that much.

Anything that is happening is part a regular cycle that has been happening for 1000's of years. The Global Warming monicker is put on it intentionally to illicit a response. They use it because they keep going on about the polar icecap melting, interesting that the exact same changes were observed in the 1920's and more of the ice cap melted away then.
