Another Baseball Question

2 outs in the inning runner on third. Ground ball to short (tough play in the hole, etc)ss throws out the man at first (guy from third runs off the field back into the dugout without touching home. Home plate ump over rules the first base ump and rules the guy safe, what do you do with the runner that was at 3rd?

Run him till he drops for breaking team rules and not finishing the play?

its the 1st base umps call

unless there was some sort of argument by the other that caused the umps to get together and discuss the play and overturn the call it wouldnt matter and the guy at first would still be out

College level game. The game I was at the guy touched home but what would you do if he didn't?

you would have someone walk over to the dug-out and tag him....Or the plate umpire would call him out for being way out of the baseline....

No plate ump in the world should be giving any appeal because that runner on third was his, there is no way he should have seen what was goin on at second....

So if I was calling the bases, and he overturned my call, All of the above would have happened after I was walking to the truck, cause if he can call my calls and his at the same time, there would be no reason for me to stay!!! hahaha

I screamed that for a good 45 minutes to an hour while that mess was getting sorted out. By far the most upset I've ever been at a sporting event in my life. We pratically got robbed that night and still won the game.

the feild ump must have been a newby...I would have probably not let him overturn my call...I would thrown a fit or whatever it took if those were my bases...
