I think to that point in the game - Sproles was the only one from Wise that had hit any free throws consistantly. Both teams were terrible at the line until about the last five minutes of the game and then Wise started hitting from the line.

And I agree that the Lee player threw the ball in fustration but that was the only way that I could think to describe what he was doing with the ball that would make sense.

My bad on the ball description.

You're right on both counts. And no need to apologize. Your description was fine.

Any player can shoot a techinal foul shot as long as he or she hasn't been disqualified.

So after you pick a technical shooter and he shoots one you can take him down for another shooter? Can you direct me to this in the rule book?

Just for my own curiosity, I would love to know where its at in the rules too.

I always love the oddity rules that few know about.

It's not in the rulebook, they just have to make a call up and go with it.

Section 3 Attempting Techinical-Foul Free Throws

The free throws awarded because of a technical foul may be attempted by any player of the offended team, including an eligible substitues or designated starter. The coach or captain shall designate the free thrower(s).

The casebook states that in a situation involving a technical foul, A6 and A7 (which are legal substitutes) may enter to shoot a second free throw.
