As of today, June 5th, 2004 President Ronald Reagan has died in his home, surrounded by loved ones and a nation that mourns him.
He brought hope and pride back to Americans, his policies weakened big government and put power back into the hands of willing, hard-working people; his tax cuts boosted our economy tremendously and calmed the hyper-inflation and high prices; his deficit spending increased our National Security and ensured tax-payer money wasn't locked up in coffers in Washington; and most of all put an end to the threatening Soviet Union, neutralized Communism, and brought the Cold War and fears of nuclear holocaust to rest.
He was a great man, a loved man, an honorable man - but as we've seen today, still just a man.
God bless thee and keep thee, Oh Captain! My Captain!
