I'm trying to find the first encounter.

As Zoidberg can attest, I watched my first and possibly last anime last night. Inuyasha, I believe. And what did I think?

Hated it. The voice acting made me nuts, and everything was SUCH a big deal. And some girl who seemed like she was only there to state the obvious called Inuyasha by his name every time she said something to him.
"Inuyasha, the great sword is beckoning you!"
"Inuyasha, I've spilled honey on my chest!"
"Inuyasha, the grass on the ground is green!"
Arrrgggghhhhh! Frustrating Japanese people...

Man don't pick inuyasha as your first anime it's more of a anime for the little oes. There's a lot of better ones out there.

Yeah, totally agreed with Drago. Dont pick an anime for a younger audience, and escpecially one so time consuming as that one. But you biggest mistake of all? Watching a DUB! You need to start out watching the subs. I know, youmay say "I dont want to READ my TV", but believe me, after a while, you odnt even notice youre reading, and you wont think youre missing anything. Anime in its original format is a million times better at getting you into the mood for anime. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

True yuo won't miss a thing unless your a slow reader. A couple of friends an me watched some episodes of trigun I dled but Ruben couldn't read fast enuf to catch it all.

Another great anime you eed to check out is Macross Plus. It's only 4 episodes long (each last a little over 30min non-stop).
