Just one's that you are really impressed with and can't really stop listening to it.

The Prodigy - Alway's outnumbered, Never Outgunned
Element 80 - S/T
A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth Step
Coalesce - Functioning on Impatience
Living Sacrifice - Conceived in Fire
Machine Head - Through the ashes of empires
Mushroomhead - XIII
One Minute Silence - One lie fits all
Remembering Never - Women and children die first
30 Second's to Mars - S/T
Unearth - the oncoming storm

Those are the one's i listen to the most, and impressed me a bit when i listened to them, but i still like a ton of other cd's

Wow... I completely missed this thread when it was new, so I'll add my two cents now.

Hmmm... I rarely actually own anything NEW, but albums I've been listening to again lately are:

The Zombies - Oddesee And Oracle
Tomita - The Planets
XTC - Waxworks
REM - Murmer

Doesn't have to be "new" album, just something you were very impressed with and listened/listening to alot.

Since this thread was such a hit, I'll update what I'm currently listening to.

Elliott Smith - Figure 8
Tom Waits - Closing Time
Talking Heads - Sand In The Vaseline

Hmm, that's a hard question to answer... I suppose you could classify them as very eccentric 80's new wave (not bad 80's though), with a hint of world beat thrown in for good measure. I'll send you some tracks next time you're on AIM.

Wow, I'm 3 months late replying to this, but that's cool as shit. Your dad is officially the first person I know of that's heard of Tomita.
