I'm in college and I have a costume for myself(plaid school uniform jumper outfit) and a matching one for a doll, so I'm going to carry my doll around on Tuesday in my costume. There's a costume contest at school and I know my costume isn't the most original but maybe I'll stand out a bit if I have the doll in the matching outfit.

I think that is a great idea, Katie!! It would definitely stand out for you to have a doll. I get a lot of positive attention at school when I carry around stuffed animals who match my spirit day wear, and everyone at work loved it when I brought in Traveling Felicity. Especially if you act like it's no big deal, nobody will say anything bad about it!

I like your costume idea. I hope you can post a picture. It would be fun to see it and hear about the reaction on campus.

I was going to be an angel, like Kirsten but I never got around to making matching shirts so I just bought a Tinkerbell shirt and I'm wearing my long black skirt and making a wreath type thing with curly ribbons streaming down and going as a faerie. I'm also planning on carrying Kirsten and Traveling Fia around with me on Halloween since I only have workstudy and one class.

Oh most definately! Halloween is a great excuse for a doll. Last year I did it twice. I went to a Halloween party dressed as Wendy with Tinker Bell (Kit). On the actual day, I wore a colonial costume that my mom made and carried around Felicity. This year, I've put together a Molly costume and will be holding Emily.

Katie, I'm sure you and your doll will be adorable! I'm tempted to bring Kirsten around on Halloween too, but I don't have anywhere to go.

(And Kit as Tinkerbell; that's brilliant, Angie! )

Molly and I are going to school on Monday in her matching PJ's. I am SOOO excited...I've wanted to wear her pj's for about a month now, but told myself not because I didn't want to ruin the pj's before I got a chance to wear them.

Thats a good idea to make yourself stand out with a doll. Tonight I'm going to a Halloween party dressed up as Hermione because my Violet Baudelaire costume is not done yet so I might dress up Emily or Samantha in Poppy's school uniform.
I could never bring a doll to school though, everyone would make a big deal of it.
