Sorry, I know that's not quite what you were looking for. But it might help in some way.

There's also the old pastime sets:Felicity, Josefina, Kirsten, Addy, Samantha, and Molly all had Cookbooks, Theatre Kits, Craft Books, as well as the original Paper Doll sets.

And there were a few combination craft/cook/party books that were with all of the girls (I don't think there were any past Josefina), and a few older books/kits, like the old, old paper doll set with Sam, Molly, and Kirsten. But none of those are things that aren't found in the newer sets/books.

There was also the Stationary kits for each (except Kaya) girl, but they're not books, just paper, envelopes, and stickers. And doofy things like an autograph book, postcard books, etc. Also not stories. And some "books" from the old Club kit.

There's also The Best That I Can Be: Inspiring Words for American Girls, The American Girls Quiz Book, American Girl Pencil Play, American Girl Pencil Play 2, and Minute Mysteries, which are more like sidelines, as they dont have new stories, and really aren't too exciting.

The old trading cards are quite nice, story-wise. That might be stretching it a bit far, but most of them have little tid bits on the back.

Obviously, the books are the most important part for me . Just let me know if you want the rest of the list (LEs, HSH, HM, GOML, etc), or anything else. I have most of them, so if you want reviews or anything, I'd be more than happy to help. It seems like people would much rather talk about the dolls than the books, which is a bit sad to me.

I just got Samantha's Valentine's Day Crafts this past winter, which was on sale and came out with the matching Sam/Nellie Valentine's Day outfits last year.

Thanks for the list! I'm trying I added all the old Pastimes books--I feel those are going to be a bit harder to get. I have Samantha's which was a lucky grab at Half Price Books.

I have all the central stories (well, except Kaya's singles and Kit's Christmas, birthday, and changes book singles; I like the facts in the back) and all the shorts. I'm now working on more of their stories and the like.

What are HSH and HM? LE are the limited editions--I read all but Lindsey, and I think I don't want to add them to my collection. They're cute but not my cup of tea, except Jess's. GOML is Girls of Many Lands, yes? I have 5 of those (Saba, Isabel, Celeste, Minuk, and Spring Pearl) I've read them all except Isabel's; I keep putting it off. I think they would have done a lot better as larger dolls.

Don't think I'll bother with stationary; I have a printer, I could always make my own and make it neat and pretty, with their silhouettes and a scanner. I was never one for stationary.

What's in Minute Mysteries? I'm not sure if it's worth it or not.

Oh, I like the Minute Mysteries!
They're short several-page stories featuring the American Girls that have a mystery component or something to solve at the end. I used to love this kind of thing when I was in elementary and middle schools - my gifted teacher used to do stuff like this with us, too. Some are easy and are good for even my little niece to join in on the fun, but some are pretty tough and require a good amount of reasoning and thought. I'm probably pretty bad at describing things, but I think that they're definately worth getting. If you want to take a look for yourself, try going to your local bookstore and skimming through one of the stories.

I didn't like Minute Mysteries. Thought it was a waste of my 6 bucks. If you search for it, I wrote up one of the "mysteries" (an Addy one, too, ). None of the stories were really new, most of them were re-worked stories from the books. They were fun to solve, and a few were a bit on the more difficult side, but I didn't think it was worth the purchasing price. Might be worth library-ing, though.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ah, okay. I may flip through it next time I'm at Borders/B&N, and see if it's worth it.

The HM are the History Mysteries, and the HSH were the Hopscotch Hill. I'm just lazy and didn't want to type the names out . I'm sure you don't care about the HSH books, but in case you're interested in the HM, here's the list of those:

1. The Smuggler?s Treasure
2. Hoofbeats of Danger
3. The Night Flyers
4. Voices at Whisper Bend
5. Secrets on 26th Street
6. Mystery of the Dark Tower
7. Trouble at Fort La Pointe
8. Under Copp?s Hill
9. Watcher in the Piney Woods
10. Shadows in the Glasshouse
11. The Minstrel?s Melody
12. Riddle of the Prairie Bride
13. Enemy in the Fort
14. Circle of Fire
15. Mystery on Skull Island
16. Whistler in the Dark
17. Mystery at Chilkoot Pass
18. The Strange Case of Baby H
19. Danger at the Wild West Show
20. Gangsters at the Grand Atlantic
21. Ghost Light on the Graveyard Shoal
22. Betrayal at Cross Creek

I've got about half of these (yay, used book stores!), but haven't actually read one yet. Which is a bit sad, because most of them sound really good. I'll start reading one, but get distracted by something better, and forget about the HM book .
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ah, okay. I have two of those, #11 and #18. I haven't read them yet, because I have so many library books to get through (I check them out in clumps!) I'll start picking them up at half price books when I see them.

Lindesy's is the worst of the LE books, lol. You missed the best one to miss. Jess's was in a totally different class, I thought, and I really hope the rest of the LE books are more like hers than the first ones.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ah. May I ask why it's so bad? I didn't like Kailey's because she seemed like an airhead, and Marisol's was just sorta blah. I read it, but I didn't enjoy its story. I'm thinking of trying to write a LE book and offering it to AG as a LE story. But it's a pipe dream, really.

I really like the GOML books, I take it you do, too, since you've read 4 of them. Isabel's was the one I liked the least of the ones I've read. Spring Pearl, Neela, Leyla, and Cecile were my favorites. Here's a full list of those:

Isabel: Taking Wings (England 1592)
Cecile: Gates of Gold (France 1711)
Leyla: The Black Tulip (Turkey 1720)
Saba: Under the Hyena?s Foot (Ethiopia 1846)
Spring Pearl: The Last Flower (China 1857)
Minuk: Ashes in the Pathway (Yup?il Alaska 1890)
Kathleen: The Celtic Knot (Ireland 1937)
Neela: Victory Song (India 1939)
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Oh, when I said I'd read all but Isabel's I mean ALL of them. I checked them out from the library one by one. They all delighted me. I'm going to try and get the three I don't have off Ebay or at a secondhand store. I grabbed Saba's after reading it, actually.

I recently gotKit and Samantha's Friend Fun books. I wish they'd made them for all the dolls. It really seems Mattel is neglecting the stories for the stuff. =(
