Can you take a picture of your 10-drawer dresser and post it here? I would love to get some ideas. Thanks in advance!

Once I actually do it, yes I'll take pictures of how I do it. Right now those drawers still have my sister's clothes in them, lol. We're shooting for June to get all of this up and running.

I just got back from Home Depot, and I coundn't find the 8' board. I bought 2 of the 4' ones from the closet dept., it's Sunday one hour before closing, so I coundn't find much help in the store and my 2 y.o. son was climbing the shelves (literally!), so I was rushed! I'm going to call tomorrow, though, because the 2 four foot shelves cost me $40. If the 8' board is only $20., these are going back!!

Barbara,

Yes, the closet department ones are much more expensive. When I went to Home Depot I had to have someone help me find the 8' one. It was NOT in an obvious place. I'd take those back, and see if you can get someone to help you. I'd be willing to bet they've got the 8' ones. If not in melamine, then in another wood finish.

Goodluck!

Brenda, these are GREAT ideas! Your description was so good I can picture it perfectly. And this fabric that you stick on sounds wonderful! My giant doll house still has entirely white walls.

P.S. I know how lucky I am to have so much space for my doll addiction. Hope I don't make anyone jealous. You're all invited to come over and play!

Not jealous at all! Inspired actually. Me and my mom were agonizing over what to do to give the dolls a space of their own where I can have my knick-knack space back, and seeing your dollhouse provided the perfect solution.

Brenda,
Thanks! I did return the closet shelves! I found the 8' board in lumber for 15.97! I got 2 of those for less than 1 in the closet department!

I'll post pictures when we get it set up, we are going to start with just one level, but will need to add another. I just want to see how many storage drawers we actually need. I know DD needs the closet space for her own clothes!! LOL!
