What prompted me to even begin swapping bodies was when I bought a very expensive Gotz doll, only to find that she had the weird body style wherein her body extends out to her biceps and thighs. She could not stand on her own.

I don't like those bodies one bit either. We have several G?tz and Lissi dolls with them, and it really bugs me. I really can't imagine there are many people who would actually prefer that body.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I would rather my dolls have a Target body than one of those Lissi style bodies and made a firm rule that my dolls would have to have full length vinyl arms and legs. Otherwise there are a lot of items in their shared wardrobe they could not wear without showing the join between the extended body and the vinyl part of their arm or leg.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I couldn't agree more. My Lissi ones are just display dolls, or I would have changed the bodies too.

My thrift store Gotz "maxi muffin" Aoife came with the only type of body worse than the Lissi type. This one:

    body7sa

It was damaged as well so it was an easy descision to scrap it and I ended up stringing spare Zapf limbs onto a Target torso to "fix" her.

I have all three of the Little Sisters. The line was produced for iDolls by Gotz and when iDolls went bankrupt, they dumped them through T.J.Maxx at $19.99. I bought a bunch of them and, aside from the three I kept intact, the rest of them became body donors for other Gotz dolls.

BTW, I do not think this thread is "off topic"...
