What does it for you?

In looking over my choice of dolls, I noticed that I usually fall in love with the dolls hair first. What makes you "fall" for a doll?

For Jess it was her story. DD is homeschooled and wants to be a paleontologist when she grows up so we probably would have gotten Jess no matter what she looked like.

When I got my #22 it was because she looked just like DD.

Those are our only two dolls, and I really don't want any more right now. Emily is tempting, since that is DD's name, but she doesn't appeal to me for some reason. Now if she looked like DD, as well as had the same name, that would be another story!

The books for the historicals, and something "different" from the AGTs/LEs.

Aside from that, I love red hair, long hair, and the Josefina face sculpt.

It's all about the character for me! Doesn't mean that I could NEVER buy an AGoT/JLY...it just means that either she'd have to have the most amazing story ever, or else I'd have to already have plans to make her a historical. [img]smile.gif[/img]

For me (as a collector of historicals only...so far) it is about their character and stories. If I love the stories, I'm more likely to want the doll. Also the time period they are in and their accessories are a determining factor for me since I concentrate on fewer dolls and more accessories for each. So it is really the overall package for me.

Well, the reason I have Felicity is because of her stories and "personality", but I absolutely adore her red hair. I can't really remember exactly why I wanted Nellie, but I knew that I had to have her. Now, I LOVE her face mold. It is so beautiful!
