Samantha's Talent Show Outfit

Thanks so much guys! I agree too that it is a very historically accurate outfit. I'm a so relieved that everyone is happy with this outfit. Before I dozed off last night I was torn about whether or not I would get it, and now I know for sure it's totally worth it! It sounds even more gorgeous in person than it is online! So that outfit will definitely be on my next order. Thanks! I'm so glad I joined this message board! All of your opinions are always so great and helpful!

Oh and thanks RNseamstress! Your kitty is adorable too! Love the little black spot on his/her(?) nose. I have to get a better picture of Rocky for my avatar though. That one does not do him justice! He is the star of the show around here, and he thinks he's the boss, which he is! But, he is my baby and I love him.

I ordered Josefina's weaving dress this morning, and so I can breathe a little easier now. I have been wondering about outfits like Addy's Kite Flying outfit and Kirsten's work outfit . . . they aren't directly related to any one book, so I am wondering if they are not going to be permanent. What about Josefina's Party Dress and Spencer Jacket? Nellie's Irish Dance outfit? I am actually really worried about it, because with the order I put in today, it will have to be a while before I place another one. [img]graemlins/angel.gif[/img] Also, if I ever get Samantha, I will want the Lawn Party outfit and Talent show outfit, but maybe I won't ever get her!

Do people like the Lawn Party Outfit? I think it is beautiful, but I don't really care for the hat or the flower that is attached to the waistband!!

I wouldn't worry about Kirsten's Work Outfit. That's been around since at least the early 90's. I think it's kind of like Samantha's play dress or Molly's Halloween costume. It is more or less a permanent part of the collection. (Although Lissie's I had thought that about Lissie's riding habit and Kirsten's Dirdnl, so who knows).

My guess is the dance outfits of today for the historicals will probably be around a few years and then cycled out for something else.

I have the talent show outfit and the only thing I don't like about it is that my early PM Samantha does not wear it well. She's too chubby! [img]frown.gif[/img] Really, I can barely get it on and off of her. However, it fits my DD's mid-nineties Samantha very well and looks gorgeous on her!

I almost forgot to add about the weaving outfit, supernonamegirl, when I talked to them last Tuesday(9/13) in CS when I exchanged my outfit for a new one and I asked her about Josefina's Weaving Outfit, she said it was low. I am a freak about those things, so I ordered it this past Friday. But I think it should last for at least two weeks, but I don't wanna say for sure because I didn't get an idea about how many they had in stock. But, I would call CS and maybe they could give you a general idea. I'm certainly not trying to cause a panic, because believe me, I do enough of that for myself. So just call CS and see what they say. But I'm guessing it won't be around much longer. Hope that helps.
