Katie, they look more Oval to me. I like the older ones better IMO.

Now that we know they're changing, I'm kind of happy... I think they frame Molly's face better. But the old ones were so cute and made the glasses more of Molly's personality! I don't know which I like better!

I like the new ones a lot better. The gauge of the wire seems more suitable. I think Molly looks prettier in the new ones.

I like the new ones, but I'm glad I have the earlier glasses so Molly can have both. I'm going to wait until I see more pictures of Molly with the new ones on before making a decision which ones I like better.
Meanwhile:
Couldn't find any civilian styles, but here are a couple of pairs of military glasses for reference:
English Gas Mask Glasses
Kind of odd, but these German military glasses look just like Molly's original ones.
Also just like Molly's old ones, but US issue.
These are slightly more ovalish and have that flat bridge.
Another pair of WWII US Military issue glasses that are more like Molly's newer pair.
Later BCGs just for a laugh.
So, it looks like both pairs are historically accurate, at least according to what was issued to the military at the time. Although, the later military-issue BCGs from the 1960s show that, at least by that point, what the military was issued wasn't necessarily what civilians at the time would willingly wear.

I have no idea, but for History and Costuming nerds, it sure is a blessing! Thanks!
Sadly, those BCGs apparently haven't changed much since the 60s... my brother wore a very similar pair when he was in the Air Force less than ten years ago.

Wow, thanks for sharing the pic. I've been wondering what the difference was. I will have to check the Emily premere photos to see if I can tell which ones were used. I am used to the old ones and I like them better. They were a bit big on Molly, but so are most kids glasses.

The Emily premere seems to show the old glasses. Maybe they won't change. Still I should probably get the old glasses now since I am getting a nude Molly.
Does anyone know if they are available as a replacement item?
Oh, no. The silver round glasses are sold out on the website.
