The outfit itself IS spelled "dirndl" in the catalogue. The catalogue calls it a "plaid vest," so you can't go wrong calling it a vest. I would personally call it a bodice.

It's not a corset. A corset is a type of undergarment used to pull in a woman's waistband to enhance her figure. The vest part of Kirsten's dress is typically called a bodice. The type in her dirndl (which is not a Swedish word or a very accurate dress for her...) is a lace up bodice.
