Today while I was in a local craft store called Roberts I came across the fake bird section (in the floral area). I stopped to look at the birds, because they are prefect size for dolls.

And I saw it! A parrot! He had flown all the way from Belize! I picked him up (even though I'm not getting Jess) just to show you guys!

There were many colors including red, blue, green and assorted. He's made from real feathers and very cute. The wires on his feet could be easliy removed.

I attached some pictures, start at #29.

And the cost? An entire $1.30!

    Enjoy! Jessica

He's a cute little thing. I like how you guys go searching for Jess items. ^_^

So far, I've seen y'all find her parrot, monkey and a matching sleep shirt and slippers. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He is really cute and a great size! Parrots of that variety don't really come in blues (other than a large hyacinth macaw, and on the smaller end, lovebirds and budgies) but he still looks awfully sweet, and he doesn't need to be a real species, anyway.

The kind on the cover of the catalog looks like a sun conure (maybe not a sun conure, but definitely a conure), and I think Jess' parrot on her book cover may be a different type of conure. Does the book say what it's supposed to be?

Parrots are such neat animals. Congratulations on your find--it's so much fun to find something AG doesn't make, or something similar to what AG makes, at a better price!
