I'd like to make a 1960s doll... out of one of the fixer-uppers I recently bought. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any websites that I can buy 60s looking stuff from? I checked out eBay for Chatty Cathy clothes (my mom told me that she had one of these dolls in the 60s!) but there isn't a wide range of clothes.

Anyways, if anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Thank you!

Are you interested in the early or late 60's? They are quite different fashion wise. I was a little girl in the early to mid 60's and my clothes was very similar to Molly's.

The sort of Mod era began around 1968. Check out vintage patterns on eBay for ideas.

Yeah... The late 60s... Like giant floral patterns and pillbox hats and that kinda stuff.

    Thanks for that link!

If you are doing early 1960s, then Chatty Cathy is the model to use. Late 1960s were "mod" and a completely different style.

Take a look on eBay at the patterns for Chatty Cathy. The doll itself was released in 1960 and her clothes pretty well track the styles worn by 8-10 year old girls at the time.

I am very partial to those styles and have a lot of Chatty Cathy dresses for my AG-size dolls. AGs can fit into Chatty Cathy dresses and a lot of folks on eBay show the same dress on both dolls. Chatty Cathy's feet, however, are longer and they can't share shoes or socks.
