I am so sorry to hear about your mom. It's very hard when you are the one handling most of it. I'm sure your mom will get the help she needs now.
Take care of yourself too.

Glad you shared this with us. It is hard to take care of a parent that is verbally abusive.
I was in a similar situation before my Dad passed away.
Take care of yourself and know that we care for you. My prayers are with you. Big hugs [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Thanks everyone for your kindness and support. I am trying to get my mom transferred to a closer hospital also because she's not getting her needs met at the one she was sent to that was so far away. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Katie, I hope you become less stressed and are able to focus on school. Depression is very terrible, and I have dealt with a depression issue as well, but it truly is the disease speaking when she says she doesn't want to be hospitalized and is verbally abusive. You did the right thing by taking her to the hospital, and hopefully she will be better in no time.
Sending thoughts and prayers and hugs your way!!

Katie, I'm sorry that you have so much on your shoulders right now. I hope that your mother gets moved closer for both your sakes.
You're in my thoughts.
