1992--while I was teaching 5th grade. I started reading the books and then filled out a reply card in a magazine for the PC catalog. I looked through the catalogs and dreamed that someday I would have a little girl to share all those wonderful things with.

Since the very first catalog. I remember thinking how expensive they were, and would I ever be able to afford them. Took almost 20 years, but boy, am I ever loving it!

I was in love when I got the first catalog - 1986 was it??? For some reason it never dawned on me to save my money for Samantha...at least not until my goddaughter was interested in them. I've been collecting since 2003.

I saw my first doll, a signed Samantha in 1987, at my 2nd cousin's (we called her Aunt)house. She was beautiful. I was only 5, so I was to young to have these dolls.
We didn't get a catalog at our house until 1989 and I fell in love. I got my first doll in 1989 or 1990- I don't remember.

Since 1986, when I was a freshman in college, poor, and HOPING I'd someday have the whole collection of all three dolls and their things, but WONDERING if that day would ever come!! I fell in love with the catalog the first minute I saw it, but was too poor to do anything about it. Wow!!

I probably looked at my first catalogue in late 1991 or early 1992. I fell in love with Felicity. Some of my friends got dolls in 1992, but I had to save my own money and got Felicity in 1993.

I have been a fan for about 6 months. That's at least as long as I have wanted a doll. I saw them awhile ago and I thought they were nice, but never considered owning one until the bug bit HARD last October. So 5 months I guess...

Third grade 1988, My friends an I used to pass the catalog around during class and hope that none of us would get caught. Also we would always ask if we could have the send away for the catalog postcard in the back of the books, most of the time the Librarian said yes.
