I think I'm going to get this quote wrong since i don't have my little quote book with me, but the quote goes something like this...

"A mistake is only a mistake when nothing is learned"
(someone correct me if this is wrong). People make mistakes at every age. I tend to sometimes say (or type) something without thinking. it's true that when you read something on here nobody knows the tones the poster truely used.

I agree with Felicity_Fan, we ALL make mistakes, some of them are just a bit more obvious, lol. The best thing one can do is accept that they made a mistake, apologize, and move on, remembering in the future to not make the same mistake again. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Katya...I know I don't hate you. But I do find many of your posts to be rude. I realize that I can't hear your voice, but I think that when a person continually posts things a certain way, we get to understand them.

Please just try to be more polite, and think about what you have written before you hit the add reply button. I realize that you're young, but that's really no excuse to be rude to others. [img]graemlins/rose.gif[/img]

Actually, a few people on this board say things that come off as rude sometimes (and one person's replies I always find awfully rude). Please don't take it all out on Katya.

I'm sorry that your upset. I always feel bad when people are. However in all fairness, your posts can be very rude and immature sometimes. I think that everyone's advice about being more thoughtful would be good. I don't think that anyone hates you. I know I don't. But, you need to realize that when someone upsets or offend people, it's not a good dynamic for the person who has offended, to get really upset and take it personally, when people react.
I know that if I am ever rude, I would like to be alerted to it.

You seem to be upset on this board alot, and that really blows up the purpose of it, because this board is to have fun, for everyone.
I hope that this is able to be worked out for everybody's happiness.

When I was younger I upset adults at times because I would write to magazines with my opinions. I thought everyone wrote to magazines with their opinions, hence the letters to the editor. The editors, however, would get insulted by my letters, which I never meant to be insulting but to only be my opinions and responses to articles (which they could take to heart or ignore). One head editor even called my house and left a 15-minute diatribe on the answering machine because she was so upset at my letter! [img]eek.gif[/img]

As an adult I've tried to find an answer behind why the adults responded this way. I think perhaps the main thing was that I often had a point, and they didn't like a kid having a good point. Another problem is that perhaps I was sometimes *too* opinionated, and didn't cushion my opinion at all. This is something I'm still learning to do. (And this is not directed at you--it's what I've discovered has helped me with the problem I had.)

Anyway, I've been where you have been before, and know it is hurtful when there are misunderstandings.
