My daughter is looking for information on trains so that she can make some extra things for her doll, and we found a really neat site that has scans of old brochures from the train in Kit's railway journey book:

    http://www.gngoat.org/The_Scenic_Northwest.htm

We're going to try to reduce them and make some little brochures/guide books for the dolls, and I thought those of you who liked the book might also want to do this. I'll try to post some pictures if we get it to work!

What a terrific site! Thank you. I am working on Kit's bedroom now. Maybe I can print out some of these for her. Thank you for the terrific resource.

Wow, how neat! I guess I could print the thumbnails and staple them together for my mini Kit. (I don't think printing small would be a problem; in fact, you could change the DPI of the image files and get fairly clear, tiny pages! Getting them in two-sided booklet form would be more of a challenge, though, at least for me.)

    Thanks for the link!

Thanks for sharing the site info. The brochures are really neat. DS loves trains so anything train related is always a big hit here! I'll make a note of the site for future reference.

We made some of these printables tonight, and have an album, although it's hard to get a good shot of these. This was a lot of fun! Kit (when we get her someday) will have some neat things!

I'm going to try and make a few more of these if I get time this week - maybe some of the pictures/postcards, or her interview notes.

And another cool thing for Kit would be an older Monopoly set (it came out in the 30's) - this site has pictures of the board (under the white box article), money, and old cards.
