OT Hoot movie reviews??? Anyone?

I'm sorry to say it, but I saw it and honestly, it's not so great. I went with about half of the students in my grade at my school on Friday (opening day). The acting was rather cheesey, and it was kind of a little too fast-moving. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars. The storyline was good, and there were a few funny parts, but I don't really think it's worth seeing in theaters. My friends who have read the book said the book was much, much better than the movie (although, that's probably true for most movies based off books). Unless you're REALLY wanting to see it NOW, I'd wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it.

The movie is "Hoot". My dd is reading the book.

It's a Newbery award wining book & spent quite a few weeks on the bestseller's list from what I remember. We might check the movie out on dvd if she likes the book.

Isn't that the movie with Jimmy Buffett? How was he in it?

I saw American Haunting over the weekend and it was really bad. At least I saw it at a matinee. I would have been really mad if I had paid full price to see that slop.
