Hi everybody. After more than 6 months off the board, I am back. I thought I would need a computer at home after my job ended. Amazingly, having been terminated in April 2005, transitioned through 12/31/05 and extended TWICED through 6/30/06, the big boss offered to give me my job back! What a shock! So I'll probably be posting in the evenings because I'll be working for the Met during the day.
I would like your collective opinions regarding how risky the AG Hospital is these days. I just adopted a doll who turns out to be a very nice pre-Mattel Samantha. I'm guessing she's 1993 - 95 vintage. She badly needs to have all her joints tightened up, including her head. I was lucky to win her for an amount that allows me to pay the extra $40 for the operation but I'm not sure if I should send her to the AG hospital. What do you think?

Thanks! It's been such a long time since I could say anything here! It was nice to see that Travelling Ruthie has moved on to a new destination.
I'm hoping to figure out how to upload some albums now that I have my own scanner, although I won't have as much time to play as I thought when I bought the Filthy Beast, which is what I named my computer. (If anyone has seen Father Goose, the name will ring a bell.)

Welcome back! We missed you, and congratulations on your job!
As for your PM Samantha, I would be happy to re-string her for you, if you like. (Ask the board for my references, and PM me for my rates if you're interested)
Glad to see you back!

I think Taffy Cheerful has a restringing guide on her website!! It's very useful for dolls who need restringing!!

Actually I would be more comfortable with an expert doing it. My hands and wrists aren't strong enough. I've read that guide and it makes me hurt just to think about it. So I pm'd Robin instead.

OMIGOSH! Were your ears burning? I pm'd Robin today to see if I could still email you at the Met.
So glad you're back, and still working.
I would let a board member fix Samantha, you know she'd be loved and taken good care of.
