It requires the following that can be bought in just the right sizes from Hobby Lobby:
2 pieces of basswood or plywood (DO NOT USE BALSA) that are about 1/4" thick and 4" X 24".
1 piece of plywood that is about 1/2" thick and 6" X 12".
1 dowel that is 12" long (they come in packages of three or more depending on the thickness).
1 piece of balsa wood that is about 3/4" thick and 3/4" X 6" long at least.
Paint color of your preference.
Aleene's Tacky Glue
Scissors or butter knife (with your Mom's permission, of course).
First, you take the piece of balsa wood and cut it into 2 strips that are 3 inches long.
Glue the balsa to the plywood....center it horizontally on each of the 6" long ends.
Glue the basswood to the plywood and balsa strip....center it vertically against the balsa and plywood. Glue one to each of the 6" long ends.
Glue the dowel about 1 1/2" below the top of the basswood pieces in the center of the basswood. You will have to hold it in place for about a minute with medium pressure (having to people hold it is easier).
Paint accordingly.

THANK YOU! I admired your dress racks in your albums. How kind of you to share the instructions. I am not at all a handy person, but you made this sound doable. Thanks again!
