Hi all -

Since my daughters and I want to sew for our dolls over summer vacation, I went back to ebay in search of the last remaining AG pretty clothes pattern we need (Josefina's). I was shocked to hardly see any of these patterns (regardless of doll) listed at all, and there were only a handful in completed auctions.

Are these getting in shorter "supply" than they were just a few years ago? I never got Josie's because the price was just too high back then, so I can just imagine what hers would go for now, with them seemingly in short supply.

    Linda

I have noticed too. It is a shame, they are really great patterns.

Not suprising- since they are consumable, unlike the actual dresses- it's more likely they will disappear overtime.

    Sad though.

What I think would be nice would be a rerelease, or at least a book. I wish someone with a set could scan them for me, but all those laws around them!

Ahh well, more drafting for me.

There was a brief flurry of Kirsten patterns a week or two ago, but they all went for more than I wanted to pay. (What I really hate is that my mom and I DID have that pattern set; my mom made Kirsten a school dress back in the day. But I don't know if we gave the patterns away or threw them away or what, but they're gone now. )

I'm sure all the pattern sets are getting rarer, though. Since I'm new to the eBay AG scene, I was shocked there were so "many" sets; I thought they'd be rarer.

I can't seem to track down Samantha's. I hope to eventually have them all.

I find that Molly's and Josefina's are the hardest to find. If they show up they go for rather high prices. Sometimes you can see them in BIN's for almost the price of a new doll.

    Someone should make copies.

That would be nice, but we'd have just a little problem with a thing called "copyright infringement".

I don't sew a lot, but I'd love to get my hands on some AG doll dress patterns. I've made a dress pattern for a rag doll that I have, and though it worked out fine, it was really hard having to measure and draw out everything carefully. I'd especially like to see Kirsten's patterns, since her clothing collection is so tiny these days.
