    Gold strappy shoes!

    And, get your hair done!

    That's my opinion!

If your dress has a halter style top you're going to want to pull your hair up to offset the style. Look online for shoes, i don't think flip flops would be dressy enough. Have fun.

I vote for gold sandal-type shoes also. If you are only going to wear the shoes to this one dance, you might check Payless Shoe Store, WalMart or Target. If you do get new shoes, wear them around the house a bit so they don't hurt your feet on dance night. If your friend will do your hair and you have time, you might try your local library and look though magazines for styles. Back issues can be checked out for free. Another hair style idea is a low side pony-tail or half braid. It's very in right now (I saw it on Veronica Mars and the O.C.) Have lots of fun!

There's a great book on styling long hair at Borders in the kids' section. . .where they have the books on making jewelry and such. You can ask, I think it is still in print. It came with a bunch of scrunchies with it.

You can look through it for ideas, really nice updos and being that your hair is curly, it can look really awesome! Good luck!
