Question about #s 5 and 17

Oooh, I am in love with these two beautiful dollies!!! They are red hair with bangs and brown eyes (#5) and the same with blue eyes (#17).

My question is how does their hair compare to Felicity's? I want her as well, so whichever today girl I get I don't want her hair to be TOO similar. I know she'd be different with stick-straight hair and bangs too, though.

Ahh thank you [img]smile.gif[/img] I think I'm leaning toward # 17, but that may just be beacause I like her pic on the AG website better than # 5's! In other pictures though, both are just gorgeous!

I took some pictures comparing #5's red hair, Felicity's red hair, retired #9's light brown hair, and #14's dark brown hair.

Keep in mind, my Felicity is PM with pretty red hair so I'm not sure how she would compare to Mattel Felicity.

My vote would be #5, but that's just because she is my little favorite.

What year did you get your #5's?

I am convinced the colour red changed from different years. My girls got #5 and #17 in 2004/2005 and they have almost brown hair - with an auburn sheen - somewhat like yours ColonialGirl. But Katie's - WOW!!- it looks very bright - almost orange.
Interesting. I know Felicity's hair has gone through several changes - so I suppose the rest of the red-heads did too?

What is the current red hair like is the question?

I purchased Holly (#5) from AGPC in April of this year. I don't know if it makes any difference or not but her neck is marked with Pleasant Company.

I agree, Holly's hair is very interesting in its chameleon-like way to change colors depending upon the light etc. But I've decided that this feature is part of what makes her special and fun to have. She'll most likely be the only AGOT with bangs that I get because I'm more drawn to the non-banged hairstyles, but I'm glad I picked #5 for the banged-look.

A friend of mine has a Mattel #5, and she is so cute! I don't have a picture of her and my Mattel Felicity together, but in my opinion they have the same color hair. [img]smile.gif[/img]
